About Hangar — The Social Network for Pilots

Hangar is the social network built exclusively for general aviation pilots. We built Hangar because pilots deserve a dedicated space to share flights, discover airports, and connect with the community — not buried in a general social feed where no one understands what a $100 hamburger means.

Social Flight Tracking

Hangar automatically detects takeoffs and landings using GPS and ADS-B data, recording your full flight track without you lifting a finger. After landing, your flight appears in your profile with route, altitude, speed, and airports visited. Share it with friends, the whole community, or keep it private — it's your logbook, your way.

70,000+ Airports

Every airport, heliport, and seaplane base in our database comes with live METAR weather, runway details, radio frequencies, fuel prices, TAF forecasts, webcams, and pilot-submitted reviews. Search by ICAO code, IATA code, or airport name. It's the most complete free airport guide for pilots.

Live METAR Weather Map

Check aviation weather conditions at a glance with our free interactive METAR map. Color-coded dots show VFR, MVFR, IFR, and LIFR flight categories for thousands of reporting stations worldwide, updated every 10 minutes from NOAA.

Pilot Profiles

Showcase your certificates, ratings, total hours, favorite aircraft, and home base. Your profile is your aviation resume — a timeline of every flight, every airport visited, and every connection made in the community.

The Community

Join over 20,000 pilots who are already part of Hangar, sharing their aviation journey and connecting with fellow pilots around the world. Follow other pilots, comment on flights, react to trips, and discover new destinations through the community feed.

Hangar is free to download on the App Store. Hangar Pro unlocks advanced features like 3D flight replay, weather overlays, and fully automated tracking.
