When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, username, and profile information including pilot certificates, ratings, and home base airport.

Location Data

With your permission, we collect precise location data to enable flight tracking features. This includes GPS coordinates, altitude, speed, and heading data during flights. Location data is collected in the background when “Always Allow” location permission is granted for automatic flight detection.

Flight Data

We collect and store flight track data, including departure and arrival airports, flight paths, duration, distance, and associated media (photos and videos) that you choose to share.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including device information, app version, and feature usage patterns.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Automatically detect and record your flights
  • Enable social features such as sharing flights, following other pilots, and community interaction
  • Display live flight tracking to users you authorize
  • Send push notifications about flight activity, social interactions, and service updates
  • Generate aggregated statistics such as flight hours, distance, and visited airports
  • Provide customer support

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Public Profile: Your username, profile photo, bio, and shared flights are visible to other users based on your privacy settings
  • Live Flight Data: Your live flight position may be shared based on your visibility settings (Public, Followers, or Private)
  • Safety Contacts: If you configure safety contacts, takeoff and landing notifications with tracking links may be sent to your designated contacts
  • Service Providers: We use third-party services including Firebase (authentication, database, storage), Mapbox (maps), ArcGIS (3D replay), FlightAware (flight data), and Mux (video hosting)
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Google Firebase infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Flight track data is stored locally on your device and synced to our cloud servers.

6. Your Rights and Choices

  • Location Permissions: You can disable location tracking at any time through your device settings, though this will disable automatic flight detection
  • Notification Preferences: You can manage push notification settings within the app or through your device settings
  • Profile Privacy: You can set your profile to private, limiting visibility to approved followers only
  • Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data through the app settings
  • Data Access: You may request a copy of your personal data by contacting us

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
